2011 / Japanese Snow Monkey Tour with accommodation in Nagano (Hotel Sunroute Nagano)





Experience Nagano Prefecture's unique Jigokudani Monkey Park, where you can watch Japanese snow monkeys bathe in a warm hot springs bath surrounded by snow.
On this tour with accomodation, you can spend the night in a hotel in front of Nagano Station allowing you to explore the area freely on the 2nd day.

  • Adult: (12 years and older):  JPY 19,500
  • Child: ( 6 - 11 years old ):  JPY 16,500
  • Extra charge for single occupancy:  JPY 1,000

Guide An English-speaking guide will accompany you from your departure from Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal to your place of accommodation in Nagano on Day 1.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Tokyo - Nagano

9:00 a.m.
Hamamamtsucho Bus Terminal (240 min,)

Japanese-style lunch.

Kanbayashi Parking Area (30 min.) Jigokudani Monkey Park (30 min.)
(30 min.) Kanbayasshi Parking Area Sakagura, Sake Brewery Art Gallery (20 min.) Ashiyu, Foot Bath (15 mins.)

5:30-6:30 p.m.
Arrival at Hotel (Hotel Sunroute Nagano)

Day 2: Nagano - Tokyo

Free time after check out.
Enjoy the rest of your trip on your own.
* Return transportation to Tokyo is not included.


REMARKS

1. As this tour takes participants from Kanbayashi Parking Area to Jigokutani Monkey Park on a hike through a snow-covered road for roughly 30 minutes, you will need to bring warm clothes, gloves, and snow boots (or slip-resistant shoes).
2. Please bring a towel to dry your feet off with after the ashiyu (Japanese-style foot hot springs).
3. Depending on road conditions, sightseeing times at the tour locations may be shortened and/or arrival time at your hotel may be delayed.
4. If returning time will be severely delayed due to snow or other conditions, the stop at the Sakagura (Sake Brewery) Art Gallery may be skipped.
5. Vegetarian and Western-style meals are available upon request for lunch on the 1st day. Please inform our staff of your preference upon reservation.
6. Return Shikansen tickets from Nagano to Tokyo are not included in this plan. You will need to buy your return tickets yourself.
-Nagano Shinkansen: Nagano Station --> Tokyo Station
(approx. JPY8,200, roughly 2 hours)
* Customers holding a JR Pass may use it for their return.
-Highway Bus: Nagano Station --> Shinjuku Station
(approx. JPY4,000, roughly 4 hours)
7. Depending on the number of participants, there may be cases when shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo Station -Nagano Station (one-way) is used instead of bus.
